About these terms

These terms cover your use of this website. They are not your rental agreement. The rental agreement you sign when you book a specific home governs that stay, and where the two ever disagree, the rental agreement wins.

Bookings

Rates, fees, availability, and minimum-stay requirements shown on this site are drawn live from our booking system and can change until a reservation is confirmed. A booking exists once you have completed checkout and received a confirmation — not when a calendar shows a date as open.

Availability on browsing and search pages can be up to an hour behind. Checkout always re-checks live, so a date that has just been taken will be declined at that point rather than double-booked.

Cancellation, damage, pet, and house-rule terms are set per property and are presented to you in the rental agreement before you pay.

Pricing and the direct-booking comparison

Where we compare our direct price to Airbnb or Vrbo, the comparison is against those platforms' guest-facing service fees on an equivalent stay, taxes and fees included. Those platforms set their own fees and can change them, so treat the percentage as representative rather than a guarantee for your specific dates.

The saving comes from the OTA service fee you are not paying. It is not a discount off our own nightly rate.

Property management services

Revenue figures produced by the estimator on our homeowners page are illustrative projections based on comparable homes on Lake Norman. They are not an offer, a promise, or a guarantee of what any specific property will earn. Actual performance depends on the home, its condition, its rules, the season, and the market.

Wishlist Vacations is a licensed North Carolina real estate firm (Firm License #C36701). Shaun Kelly, NC Broker License #319178. Brokerage services are provided by Wishlist Vacations and its brokerage partners.

Nothing on this site is a guarantee or representation of future rental income, property value, or investment return. Information about specific properties, short-term rental ordinances, HOA rules, dock permits, and shoreline conditions is provided in good faith and should be independently verified during your due diligence period. Ratings and reviews shown on this site are real guest reviews imported from the platforms guests stayed through. We do not write them, edit their wording, or remove low ratings to improve an average.

Using this site

Do not scrape, copy, or republish our photography, property descriptions, or guide content without permission; those are ours or our licensors'. Do not attempt to access administrative areas, interfere with the booking system, or submit false enquiries.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep descriptions, photos, and amenity lists accurate, but details change and occasional errors happen. If something material is wrong about a home you booked, tell us and we will make it right.

We do not promise the site will be available uninterrupted, and we may change or remove content at any time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability arising from your use of this website is limited to the amount you paid us for the booking it relates to. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, and the courts of North Carolina have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
