Do 3rd-party booking fees affect my price?

When you book through Airbnb, Vrbo, or another 3rd-party platform, we don't control the fees they add on top. Booking directly with Wishlist is the surest way to avoid those extra charges.

What's your cancellation policy?

It varies by home — each property sets its own cancellation policy. You'll see the exact terms for your stay on the property page and during checkout, before you pay. If you have a question about a specific home's policy, just email us.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Standard check-in is 3:00 PM, check-out is 10:00 AM. This window lets our cleaning and maintenance team turn the home over properly between guests.

Can I get an early check-in or late check-out?

We'll try to accommodate advance requests for a $50 fee — unlike a hotel with dozens of interchangeable rooms, your home is a single unit, so timing depends on how the outgoing guests left it. We can't guarantee it, but we'll do what we can.

What if I stay past check-out without approval?

A $50 fee applies, out of respect for our housekeeping team's schedule.

Why do I need to sign a separate lease agreement?

Wishlist is a licensed vacation rental company, and North Carolina's Vacation Rental Act requires a lease for every reservation.

What's the check-in process?

You'll get a booking confirmation right away, then a check-in text 24 hours before arrival with entry instructions, directions, and anything else you need to know.

What's the check-out process?

The evening before you leave, we'll text a short checklist — usually washing dishes, setting the thermostat, and taking out the trash. We will never ask you to mow the lawn.

What supplies come with every home?

Every home stocks fresh linens and towels, toilet paper, paper towels, and hand/hair/body/dish soap. Many owners also include coffee, laundry detergent, and extra blankets and pillows.

What's your pet policy?

We love pets, but it varies by home — some allow dogs only, some allow none, based on the owner's situation (allergies, yard conditions, and more). Where pets are welcome, a per-dog pet fee applies and varies by property.

What if there's an emergency?

Question 12

Will there be maintenance happening during my stay?

Accepted Answer

Occasionally — mostly routine outdoor work like lawn care (weekly) and exterior upkeep. If we ever need to come inside for a repair, we'll contact you first and knock before entering.

Question 13

How are pools and hot tubs maintained?

Weekly, including emptying, refilling, and chemical balancing as needed.
